Audio Bastion AR series is a dedicated absolute-isolation platform designed to provide high-end audio components with a rigid, controlled and mechanically quiet foundation.

In high-end audio, we spend enormous amounts of money choosing the right amplifier, DAC, streamer, turntable and cables.

Every hi-fi component is affected by its mechanical environment. Vibrations can travel through the floor, rack, chassis and equipment itself. At the same time, transformers, motors, loudspeakers and other components generate mechanical energy of their own.

The philosophy behind Audio Bastion’s Absolute Isolation Rack is simple:
Before we ask the equipment to reproduce music, we should first give it a quiet and stable foundation.

The MR series is designed as that foundation. More than a rack.

Audio Bastion combines an Integration Frame with its Vector X Structures, using a combination Aluminium and stainless-steel construction to create a mechanically controlled support structure.

The idea is to control the path through which unwanted mechanical energy travels, rather than simply adding mass and hoping that the vibration disappears.

This makes the MR series particularly interesting for sensitive equipment such as:
Turntables, Phono stages, CD/SACD players, DACs, Streamers, Preamplifiers, Integrated amplifiers, Power amplifiers and etc.

Why isolation matters?
Think about a turntable.

The stylus is reading an extremely small mechanical groove. It is designed to detect microscopic information contained in the record.

Now imagine unwanted vibration travelling through the floor, rack or equipment chassis and reaching that same stylus.

The cartridge cannot distinguish between music-related information and unwanted mechanical energy.

The same principle applies, in different ways, to digital and electronic components. A quiet mechanical environment can help reduce the interaction between the equipment and its surroundings.

The MR series therefore takes a different approach from a conventional furniture-style hi-fi rack:
It treats the rack as part of the audio system.

Vector X Structures
The core structural concept used to control mechanical energy within the rack.

Aluminium and stainless-steel construction
Different materials are used as part of the overall mechanical structure.

Silicone
Used within the isolation system to help manage vibration.
