Overview 

In celebration of their 20th anniversary, Quadraspire have released retro stylish Bronze upgrade spike assembly for the Q4 or SVT rack or wall shelf. Bronze has been used since it affects a wide spectral band, and a greater sustain that improves the soundstage of your Hi-Fi increasing its musicality, without any loss detail.

This model has 19mm columns with 12mm thread to suit items with 19mm columns.

All Quadraspire racks have been specifically designed to be lightweight and highly rigid, so they improve system performance, to aid in the delivery of clean, clear musical presentations. By combining shelving made from Wood or Bamboo, with solid Aluminium columns & feet, they have a significant impact on the racks performance capabilities. Aluminium has many advantages, from its low weight, to high strength and its nonmagnetic properties; plus it has good thermal and electrical conductivity. In order to discover the acoustic, thermal, and magnet properties of various material, Quadraspire undertook a R&D looking at Stainless Steel, Titanium, Brass, Bronze, as well as Aluminium.

The core component of the R&D are extensive listening tests, which enabled Quadraspire to a tuning by ear technique, similar to how fine musical instruments are developed. Bronze, is an alloy that is high in copper, which can be used as a substitute for common types of brass, in the construction of the bodies, and bells of metal wind instruments. Even strings for acoustic guitars, mandolins and violins are wrapped in bronze. The acoustic benefit of bronze, is that it contributes to a wide harmonic response spectrum for any given instrument design.

The Bronze upgrade spike assembly has the SVT curve design, for the top bolt and the spikes are rounded, combine to facilitate any residual mechanical resonance to flow and dissipate easily. The complete assembly consists of a Lock nut and Top Bolt, with a small spike that is rounded, plus a smaller locknut that attaches onto the top bolt. The Bronze spike assembly is completely engineered at the Quadraspire factory south of Bath in the UK. The Bronze upgrade is very versatile it can used on the top shelf of your rack or Wall.
