Nagaoka JT-80LB is one of two new cartridges in the Jeweltone (JT) series celebrating Nagaoka’s 80th anniversary. The suffix “LB” stands for Lapis Blue which refers to the colour of this nice sounding cartridge that comes with a bonded elliptical stylus on an aluminium alloy cantilever.

Nagaoka JT80LB is built on the moving magnet principle and the sound can be described as full, engaging, punchy and without any listening fatigue elements and with the clarity and musicality of much more expensive cartridges. A really good first cartridge for the vinyl newbie.

Being a moving magnet principle cartridge you can replace the stylus with a new one when it is worn out for a reasonable cost. The cartridge will work very well in medium weight tonearm.

Nagaoka recommends 30 hours of break in period for the Nagaoka JT-80LB cartridge.
