Nagaoka MP-100 / MP-100H is the entry level model of the Nagaoka MP series. It has the same cartridge body as the MP-110 and comes with a 0.6 mil conical stylus.

It is available in two versions

MP-100 – cartridge only without headshell

MP-100H – cartridge pre-mounted in a Nagaoka Headshell

One should not underestimate the quality of a conical stylus. Many vinyl enthusiasts are into the powerful and present musical sound of a conical stylus and often prefer that over the quest for more end more high frequency details.

Nagaoka MP100 / MP-100H is one of these high quality and open conical cartridges that can give you a fantastic vocal reproduction experience and offers musical clarity and expression beyond its price tag.

Being a permalloy magnet principle cartridge you can replace the stylus when it is worn out for a reasonable cost. You can even upgrade to the boron cantilever stylus of the MP-200 for even clearer high fidelity.

A stylus guard is included with the cartridge to protect it during transportation and when not in use. The Stylus guard is also sold separately should you ever find yourself in need of a spare.

Included in the MP-100 box only are accessories for mounting the cartridge in most headshells. You will find two sets of screws of approximate length 10mm and 13mm as well as two plastic washers and two bolts. Also in the box is a small screwdriver. Should you require screws of a different length we offer sets of screws in a larger variety.

Because the Nagaoka MP-100H is premounted on a headshell, no screwdriver and spare screws and bolts are included by Nagaoka as is the case with the MP-100 version without headshell.
