Silent Angel F1 is a reliable linear power supply tailored for N8 and Raspberry Pie 4 Model B. The aim of F1 is to bring the most real, pure and intact voice to customers. To fulfill all Hi-Fi requirements on stable power source and multiple output connector type, Silent Angel perfectly add multiple technologies into F1, which includes: high-efficiency toroidal transformer, advanced fully symmetric circuit design, low noise MOSFET in parallel and EMI filter.
It is not only a power supply, but also a guardian for the music journey. Compared with cheaper power supply, F1 has a more stable electricity input to ensure the consistency and integrity of the music enjoyment. Reference to running test, ONE F1 can easily provide continuous and pure power to TWO N8 simultaneously.
The LAN port on the HiFi brings new challenge to power supply in HiFi for its’ high frequency nature. To playback digital music or high resolution music, network player need to handle about 200MB – 1GB data for DSD format music in 5 minutes. And the lan port of the digital music player internally works in a high frequency (as high as 1.25GHz for Gigabit Ethernet port) while handling network data through the port. This working frequency is at least 1,000 times that a normal linear power can handle. F1 is the solution, which handles high frequency nature of network audio device well and suitable for 5V powered network devices (such as: Silent Angel N8), network audio player, Raspberry Pi board, …, and so on.
Optimal materials to ensure machine quality
- To present the originality of Silent Angel, the shell of F1 consists of high-quality-thick material to reduce vibration of transformer. The panel adopts CNC progressing to ensure congruence. Addtionally, the surface adopts drawing progress to make the shell more pretty.
High-efficiency Toroidal-symmetric Transformer
- The toroidal design approximately halves the occupied space and the weight of transformer comparing with the laminated design at the same degree. The improvement of efficiency is more obvious as well. The core permeability of toroidal design is higher than the laminated, which conduce to the electrical efficiency of transformer trend better consequently. In addition, the energy-saving superiority of toroidal design is that the no-load current is merely 10% comparing with the laminated.
Advanced Full Symmetric Circuit
- A distinct advantage of F1 is fully symmetric circuit design. This design can eliminate noise inside F1 utmostly. The symmetric circuit is able to consolidate the accuracy of power output and ensure a stable power supplying likewise.
Low Noise MOSFET in Parallel
- Like sluice gate to water flow rate, MOSFET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor) is a vital component for F1 to control voltage output. Usually, low power appliance prefers to choose BJT (Bipolar Junction Transistor) as its output voltage controller. However, F1 pursues the best user experience so that MOSFET is chosen. There are multiple preponderances of MOSFET. As MOSFET controls output by adjusting the gate voltage, its gate drive circuit is less complex than BJT’s base drive circuit. As a result of less complex design, the switching frequency of MOSFET is higher than BJT’s, which supports a more precise and stable voltage output.
Effective protection mechanism and LED indication
