Overview 

The Exact shares the same body moulding as the rest of the Rega cartridge range. This is a one piece body and has no energy sapping joints between the stylus mounting and headshell contact face. The headshell face is machined perfectly flat to ensure maximum contact between cartridge and headshell.

Rega have designed and developed its own coil winding machine. This allows them to manufacture coils in a completely new and innovative way. This means approximately one third less wire is used than in the other cartridges, making the Exact even more efficient than the Elys.

The Exact has a highly expensive non removable cantilever, fitted with a “Vital” diamond tip. This tip fits into the record groove more precisely than the usual elliptical type, allowing more information to be gleaned from the records.

Vital

• The Exact cartridge is not just a step up from the Elys 2, it is more of a leap. This places the Exact in a ballpark of it’s own compared to the rest of the Rega MM cartridge range.
• The non-removable cantilever houses the “Vital” diamond-tip stylus. Made of complex fine line micro-ground from a rectangular diamond billet, the tip of this stylus fits into the record groove more precisely than the usual elliptical type. This allows more information to be gleaned from the records, resulting in a more dynamic and detailed reproduction of music.

Rega MM Range

• Each one of Rega’s moving magnet cartridges are meticulously hand assembled to the highest standard by their highly trained technicians. The design and assembly procedures are focused on one simple goal; extracting as much detail from your vinyl music as possible.
• Each one of Rega’s MM cartridges uses a pair of parallel wound coils which are then carefully assembled on custom jigs to create a working stereo generator. Each cartridge is then tested and checked over two days to ensure all of the strict parameters for each model are met before either packing or fitting to a Rega turntable.
