Overview
Pro-Ject has been making major strides on its products’ circuit designs and, more recently, on the cosmetics. Let’s face it: We all want our gear to look as good as it sounds. Enter the Head Box DS2 headphone amplifier. A fully balanced, dual-mono circuit and 1100mW output account for the impressive sonics. Top-grade parts – including a Texas Instruments TPA6120A2 chip – are located throughout. This low-distortion amplifier and its three gain settings (four for high-impedance types) allow compatibility with practically any headphone made. A phase inverter to convert any unbalanced signal to a balanced one at the input, balanced 4-pin XLR output on the front panel, and the ability to simultaneously use both front-panel outputs for shared listening round out a haymaker of a headphone amplifier backed by our Music Direct Guarantee.
