The Infinity Challenger Digital Cable is the first digital interconnect in the range. It is available in either RCA, XLR (AES/EBU) or BNC termination. As well as being used as a digital cable a populae application for this cable is to be used as a clock cable on a dCS system if you specify BNC to BNC .Even though the actual audio signal does not pass along the clock cable you should give one a try! Between a Rossini and Rossini Clock (or any dCS bits) the improvement is crazy!
Of course, this cable is perfectly happy being used a conventional digital cable between a CD transport (yes, they still exist!) and DAC.
As with all Entreq cabling this is an unshielded interconnect and in order to get it to perform to the best of it’s abilities a separate ground cable and ground box are also required. You could connect this to another ground box with existing connections but the performance genuinely goes up a notch or 2 when you isolate the connection.
